Couples Counselling

If you and your partner are struggling to find common ground or have found your relationship heading off track, it can be of tremendous benefit to talk through these difficulties with a therapist that can support the two of you together. Couples therapy seeks to find a deeper understanding of the problems that have arisen that are causing tension and distress. You’ll both be offered equal space to explore the issues creating conflict to find the best possible outcome.

At Clarendon Counselling, you’ll be offered weekly 60 minute sessions and be supported by a trained couples therapist with a wealth of experience in offering person centred provision around relationship breakdown.

There is a set fee of £80 per session for this dedicated service (with a £20 additional fee for appointments requested for either evenings after 5pm or weekends).

The service is on the accredited register with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the service is run in line with their ethical framework which can be found here.

“Discussions are always better than arguments because an argument is to find out who is right, and a discussion is to find out what is right.”

Facilitated conversations we have struggled to have on our own due to emotions getting in the way. It helped us to explore each others perspectives without judgement and gain a better understanding of our own, and each others, needs. It also supported us to recognise some of our own behaviours and provided alternative means to express our feelings.” May 23

"We have gained vital perspective and some great strategies that we are definitely going to take forward, so we would like to thank you for that. Thank you so much for all your support, with everything." Aug 23

"We’re both very happy and feeling so content. So much improved with us in general following our sessions so thank you for your support!" Sept 23
