Supervision

For counsellors:

Whether you’re in training, newly qualified, or a seasoned counsellor with a wealth of experience, Clarendon Counselling offers monthly one to one supervision in line with BACP guidelines, using the ‘7-eyed model of supervision’ to offer you the opportunity to explore all aspects of your client work alongside your personal and professional development.

We offer a wide range of benefits on top of the 1:1 supervision including:

  • emergency provisions including a 'living will'

  • potential client referrals

  • potential to become an affiliate of Clarendon Counselling with free supervision included (subject to availability)

A 90min individual supervision session is charged at £90 for daytime appointments (or £110 for appointments requested for evenings after 5pm or weekends).

For other professionals:

Having supervision independently of your working environment offers you the opportunity to openly and freely discuss any challenges you may be having in work that can be difficult with an onsite supervisor, particularly if you are fearful of upsetting dynamics or having your performance judged.

Here at Clarendon Counselling you have a completely confidential space to work through your challenges and find strategies to manage and overcome them, whether this be personally or professionally.

We have offered supervision services to a wide array of professional workers including social workers, support workers, corporate employees and teaching staff.

For agencies:

Have you considered the benefits of external supervision for your staff? How would it work for your organisation if you could offer your workers a space they can explore their challenges and work through issues they may be struggling to discuss within the work environment?

Employees can struggle to feel able to express their difficulties for a wide variety of reasons including:

  • Personality clash between worker and supervisor

  • Different ways of working between worker and supervisor causing conflict

  • Worker’s need to present themselves as doing well, making them hold back in discussing their difficulties leading to unsatisfactory work or attendance (think burnout)

  • Issues around conflict of interest

Or maybe one of your supervisors is unavailable for a period of time and staff require interim supervision to ensure a good level of support is maintained?

If you’re looking for clinical supervision for your team, please feel free to get in touch to discuss the needs of your service and how our supervisors can get involved to support you.

Cost will be dependent on the size and needs of the service.

Our supervisors have a wide variety of counselling and supervisory experience and are all qualified to diploma level in supervision and registered with the BACP.
